IGT District Sales Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana

The District Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sales and profit goals for the district through effective project management, account development and the oversight of the Lottery Sales Representatives and Field Sales Representatives within the assigned district. This position will be based out of the Indianapolis sales office, but will support multiple cities in the state of Indiana.

Reviews and monitors internal sales reports for assigned accounts within district, formulating strategies, recommendations, and promotions to maximize sales.

Actively pursues and recruits new retailers that meet Hoosier Lottery minimum account criteria.

Partners with strategic decision makers at region chain accounts and independent retailers to maximize sales and profitability.

Ensures inventory levels of all supplies and products are adequate to meet the demands of the business.

Oversees the instant ticket product line within district boundaries and instant ticket's returns are processed accurately and timely.

Develops and manages an effective, well-trained and efficient sales force to aggressively and profitably

manage each territory within the district.

Plans, organizes, and oversees the work of all Lottery Sales Representatives and Field Sales Representatives assigned to the District.

Provides leadership to all direct repo1ts within the district to maximize employee potential, through motivating, coaching, training and mentoring. Provides monthly and qumterly written district status updates to the Regional Sales Manager.

Directs and manages sales specific project development from beginning to end, defining scope, goals and deliverables that suppmt business objectives.

Performs market visits and one-on-one performance discussions at least once a quarter with all Lottery Retailers

Sales Representatives and Field Sales Representatives assigned to the district.

Ensure accuracy of OnePlace by auditing details during market visits.

Performs business review meetings with independent locations and region chain accounts not assigned to

Key Account Managers.

Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs of the project.

Actively participates in the formulation and execution of district staff meetings.

Ensure call cycle route compliance of all assigned Lottery Sales Representatives.

Performs other required tasks as assigned.


Bachelor's Degree in business, sales/marketing or related field and/or equivalent years of successful experience.

Years Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of sales management experience in retail or wholesalesales .


Experience in leadership and development of staff

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong communicator, both written and verbal

Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point

Ability to plan, organize, supervise and evaluate the work of others

Must reside in the region in which the region office is located

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Minimum overnight travel necessary.
