Responsible for providing technical and marketing support to VLT and on-line Lottery retailers in an assigned ‘zone’, as well as ensuring quick and effective responses to retailers’ needs and requirements.
Principal Activities and Responsibilities
Provides preventative and corrective maintenance to the lottery retailer locations within Jamaica.
Solves communication problems, whether these be at the retailers locations or with communication equipment.
Verifies that subcontractors' works are done efficiently and on schedule.
Prospects for, conducts on-site evaluations of, and assists in the collection of relevant informattion to facilitate the selection and licensing procedures concerning retailer outlets.
Installs radios and terminals at new retailer locations and also assits in the de-installtion and transfer or removal from retailers’ locations.
Maintain inventory of equipment and its location in the corresponding area of the division.
Conducts terminal operations training for retailers’ outlets management and staff;
Assists and answers inquiries from retailers on policies and procedures related to Lottery programs.
Provides support to the Field Communications Technican in problems generated during the operation of the system, as regards communications, customer services, terminal repair, adjustment and changes of modules, as well as assists in the keeping of administrative control of the site, reporting to their supervisor accordingly.
Assists with implementation of new games and new game enhancements.
Assists in the implementation of activties aimed at increasing Agent sales for all Lottery Products.
Assists in the planning, coordination and participation in all new game testing.
Visits retailers to promote sales.
Completes appropriately the forms for equipment in transit (good/bad conditions and repaired) in order to repair them at the Depot.
Transports carefully the equipment necessary to be used in order to perform maintenance duties.
Delivers in the most detailed, punctual and effective manner all reports requested by Department Manager.
Prepares a Period Summary of all retailers visited during the week. This summary must include visit objectives for both weeks as well as the number of retailers not visited and general work effectiveness.
Provides training to retailers, lottery officials and company staff on the operations of company equipment and games.
Assists lottery personnel with retailer trouble-shooting/chronic retailer issues.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Technician’s Certificate in Electronics/Telecommunications discipline.
Good interpersonal skills
Minimum of at least one year’s work experience in related field.
Must have a valid General Driver’s Licence and a good driving record.
A good knowledge of the roads and districts in Jamaica
