The Press Operator is responsible for the complete operation of flexographic printing presses. IGT Global Solutions manufactures instant scratch-off tickets at their Lakeland, Florida printing facility. This is a third shift work schedule working 3 twelve hour shifts after initial training on days.
Set up press to run specified job.
Select proper Anilox rolls, printing stock and print sleeves
Prepare ink vats in proper order to match print deck location and ink up press.
Check quality specifications.
Place roll tags on rolls.
Responsible to ensure the machine is operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to quality standards.
Reviews and interprets information on job-sheets and ensures proper set up of the press.
Records and tracks all footage printed, pounds of ink used and quality samples.
Mounts printing plates, adds ink, adjusts PH and viscosity of ink in order to maintain conformity and quality. May mix ink for custom colors as needed.
Constantly monitors web inspection cameras and strobes to ensure print quality is meeting requirements.
Responsible for adjusting plates and impression to ensure quality and proper registration.
Other duties as assigned.
Load and unload print sleeves from press and storage rack, and rolls of material from press
During Print units rotation operate the Martin Un-wider/Loading Rolls of Substrate.
Excellent English written and spoken skills.
Follow all Company policies, procedures and rules related to Information Security, Quality and Environmental.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours during the shift.
This position is a night time position-- 6p-6a.
