This is a year-round internship position, beginning in June. The hours will be full-time during the summer (Monday-Friday, 9:00 - 5:00) and part-time, flexible hours during the school year. Job Description:

The successful candidate will work with members of SAP technology team to gain knowledge into IGT’s overall technical landscape and the development tools used (ABAP and Apex). The intern will assist in the development, implementation and deployment of SAP applications to meet business requirements.

Understanding of the overall user and system administration within the R/3 system will also be gained.

The intern will work on quality assurance system refreshes which are based on detailed procedures and are supported by the assistance of a senior member of the team. Through this process the intern will learn how the SAP system has been adjusted to fit to the specific business needs of IGT and will get detailed exposure into day-to-day activities.

The intern will also work on the Robotics application, learning to script manual processes enabling the automation of repetitive transactions.

The intern may be assigned or participate in review of new and modified business process improvement requests which translate in development requests. Translating these requirements, the intern will assist making required changes and move (transport) the changes into the quality assurance system for testing.

The successful candidate should have experience in or a solid understanding of:

  • ERP Software Skills (preferably SAP and/or Salesforce.com)

  • How business processes are integrated in the ERP suite of applications

  • Translating requirements to process flows to functional specifications to technical specifications to configuration choices – business objectives to solutions

  • Principles and techniques for debugging and troubleshooting

  • Principles and techniques for coding function calls, custom programs/applications, interfaces to other systems/software

  • Modeling principles and techniques

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle
